Bone Broth Steak Sauce:

Makes 1-1/4 CUps

Ingredients:

  • 1 white onion, finely chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup organic ketchup

  • 1 medium sized lemon, juiced

  • 1 tablespoon Organika Bone Broth Original Beef

  • 1/4 cup Worcester sauce

  • 1/4 cup white wine vinegar

  • 1/4 cup water

  • 2 to 3 tablespoons Organika coconut sauce*

  • 2 tablespoons coconut palm sugar

  • 1 tablespoon (heaping) Dijon mustard

Directions:

Chop onions, mince garlic and combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, and reduce heat to medium and simmer for 20-30 minutes while stirring occasionally to avoid clumping.

Take out a mesh strainer and pour the sauce through into a large bowl, use a spatula to press the sauce through. Let the steak sauce cool before transferring it into a mason jar to put into the fridge (will last 2 weeks). This is a summer favourite and a good way to incorporate a healthy steak sauce without the artificial ingredients and colourings your store bought steak sauce will have.
